I perioder
under veis.

Rune's first Akita, "Jo-Jofu" moved in in 1982 and,
shortly after that, I "invaded" them with my akita "Kamikaze-Hima"
and my German Shepherd "Bischa". After them came another Akita, then
another, and yet another.. One litter of puppies was born, and another, and still
another... At times the house was literarily filled with Akitas (one year we had
8 grown Akitas and 17 puppies). There has
never any doubt about the fact that the Akita is THE breed for us. We've had
lot's of great times with our dogs, and naturally some minor worries. I suppose we've tried our Akitas out on virtually everything there is to
do and
explored their different capacities, and the dogs have inevitably pulled many
tricks on us along the road...
Dag
Rune
participated in the establishing of
Norsk
Akita Klubb (by the way, are you a member?). We've also been involved with
the NAK's "Breed Council", and the "Puppy Service". That, along with
many different commitments in other dog clubs, led to a point where we felt
that we had more than our hands full and that it was time to decrease the
kennel and our commitments. The number of dogs has now reduced to 3
bitches.
